Soccer Falls To MTSU In Double OT




MURFREESBORO, Tenn.- Kelsey Perlman scored her third goal of the season, but North Texas (5-5-1, 0-2 Sun Belt) fell to Middle Tennessee (4-7, 1-1 Sun Belt) in 2-1 double overtime.

Perlman scored her third goal in four games in the 52nd minute, to give North Texas a 1-0 lead. Moments later, North Texas went up a player on a red card to Middle Tennessee's Shan Jones.

Middle Tennessee tied the game in the 60th minute with a goal by Vanessa Mueggler. Mueggler would score the game winning goal in the 102nd minute during double overtime.

Mandy Hall made 10 saves, extending her North Texas career record to 228 saves.

North Texas returns to the Mean Green Soccer Field on Friday, October 1, as they host ULM at 7 p.m.
