HOUSTON- North Texas soccer remained undefeated with a 1-0 win over Houston on Sunday at Robertson Stadium. The Mean Green are unbeaten through five games for only the second time in school history and first time since 2007.
Kelsey Perlman scored her first goal of the season with a long shot from the left flank that dipped just below the crossbar and into the net. Perlman now has 19 goals for her career, and scored her first goal since Oct. 24 of last season.
The Mean Green improve to 4-0-1 on the season, while the Cougars drop to 0-4-0. North Texas is now 7-1-1 against the Cougars all-time.
Freshman Jackie Kerestine had her best game in goal yet for the Mean Green, earning her first career shutout and making a career-high seven saves.
North Texas returns to the Mean Green Soccer Complex on Friday, September 9, as it hosts Sam Houston State at 7 p.m.
