Edinburg, TX (11-08-04) - With all five golfers in the top 25, the North Texas Women's Golf team sits in third place after the first day of play at the Lady Bronc Classic.
Junior Andra Lancaster leads the Mean Green with two rounds of 75 at the Los Lagos Golf Course. Lancaster, who won the Chip-N-Club Invitational just over a month ago, is in sixth place heading into tomorrow's final round.
Lauren Cheves is tied for tenth place following two rounds of 77, and Jaclyn Golden scored 77 and 80 to finish in a tie for 18th place.
Tara Lambright is in 21st place with rounds of 80 and 79.
Rounding out the field for the Mean Green is Paige Padgett with scores of 80 and 83. The freshman, and winner of the Lady Indian Classic in October, is in a tie for 23rd place.
The Mean Green will return to the par 72, 6,111 yard course tomorrow morning for the final round of the Lady Bronc Classic.
