LAS VEGAS, Nev. - A gusty south wind kept the conditions difficult and the scores high at the final round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. The North Texas women's golf team fired a final round of 315 and finished in 18th place. The 315 was the best score of the three days for the Mean Green.
Junior Chaslyn Chrismer had the best round of the day for North Texas with a 4-over par 76 and she finished in a tie for 59th place. Chrismer had two final round birdies. McKenzie Ralston finished one stroke behind Chrismer with a 236 after a third round of 81.
Taylor Kilponen had her best round with a 78 to close the tournament. Keegan Moore had a third round of 81 and Georgina Mundy a final round of 84.
Indiana captured the team title with a score of 894 while North Texas had a three-round score of 954.
North Texas is back in action next week as they travel to San Antonio to play in the Alamo Invitational Oct. 28-30.
