Ralston Tied For 11th After First Round




LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Sophomore McKenzie Ralston is tied for 11th place after the opening round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown to lead the North Texas women's golf team. Ralston shot a 2-over par 74 while the Mean Green is tied for 14th place as a team after 18 holes.

Ralston had one birdie on the day and 14 pars as she played the most consistent round of golf for North Texas on the day.

Freshman Georgina Mundy is 5-over par after the first round with a 77. Mundy notched two birdies in her opening round. Chaslyn Chrismer shot an opening round of 82, but did have an eagle 3 on the par-5 second hole. Taylor Kilponen is one shot behind Chrismer with an 83 and Keegan Moore shot a first round of 84.

North Texas fired a first round of 316 and is in a tie with Idaho and Washington State. No. 37 Wisconsin leads the field after the opening round with a 292.
