Mean Green Battle Tough Conditions At Final Round Of Marilynn Smith Invitational

MANHATTAN, Kan. (10/11/05) After battling two rain delays the North Texas women’s golf team wrapped up play at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational with a final round of 318.

 

The Mean Green faced damp conditions in the final round and finished tied for ninth place with a three round score of 943.

 

Senior Jaclyn Golden shot a final round of 78 and finished tied for 25th place with a score of 232. Two shots behind Golden was Andra Lancaster and Lauren Cheves.

 

Lancaster had the best round of the day for North Texas with a final round of 77 to post a score of 234. Cheves shot a third round of 79 and finished tied with Lancaster at 234.

 

Tara Lambright had a third round score of 84 while Paige Padgett posted an 88 in the final round of play.

 

North Texas will enjoy a break as they next return to action on Nov. 7-8 at the Lady Bronc Invitational.
