COLUMBIA, Missouri - North Texas women's golf travels to Columbia, Missouri, to compete in the Johnie Imes Invitational, which is hosted by the University of Missouri Monday and Tuesday. "I'm very excited to begin the event at Mizzou," head coach Michael Akers said Sunday. "The team has shown improvement in practice. I am familiar with the course and our preparation has been good. Eji Kwon is in our lineup and I am sure that will help our team. Devin Edwards is also making her season debut, so we are excited for her too impact the lineup as well."
The two-day tournament will begin Monday from the Club at Old Hawthorne (par 72), as the teams will play 36 holes and open at 8 a.m. CT with a shotgun start. A strong field is in Columbia, including host Missouri, Akron, Arkansas-Little Rock, East Tennessee State, Florida Gulf Coast, FIU, Fresno State, Kennesaw State, Long Beach State, Memphis, Mercer, Northern Illinois, Rutgers and Troy.
