Golden Leads Mean Green At Ron Moore Invititational

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (9/27/05) Senior Jaclyn Golden paced the North Texas women’s golf team in the final round of the Ron Moore Invitational with a final round of 75 to finish tied for 13th. Golden’s final round of 3-over par at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club gave her a score of 226.

 

“I saw some good things out there during the tournament but we still can improve in a lot of areas,” said North Texas head coach Amber Chevrie.

 

North Texas as a team finished in eighth place with a three-round score of 928 in the field of 14 teams. Denver, the host school, won the team title for the second consecutive year

 

Senior Andra Lancaster fired a third-round score of 78 and posted a score of 231 to close out the tournament tied for 23rd. Sophomore Halli Richards struggled in the final round with an 81 to close out the tournament with a total of 236 to finish tied for 38th.

 

Sophomore’s Lauren Cheves and Paige Padgett both shot a final round of 80. Cheves closed out with a total of 239 and Padgett shot a 244 for the tournament.

 

North Texas is back in action next week on Oct. 3-4 at the ORU Invitational in Tulsa, Okla.
