ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The Mean Green women’s golf team finished the final round of the Dick McGuire Invitational on Monday, posting their highest total of the tournament with a 312 and tied for 13th place.
Senior Addison Long and freshman McKenzie Ralston had the best rounds for North Texas as both shot a four-over-par 77.
Ralston continued her impressive first career tournament of college golf by shooting one birdie to go along with three bogeys while finishing tied for 33rd in the field along with her teammate Long. Both finished with a score of 227.
Sophomore Taylor Kilponen found an elusive eagle on the fifth hole and finished with her best round of the weekend, shooting an 80 and tied for 93rd with a 247.
Kelsey Kipp shot a 231 at 12 over-par for the tournament and finished tied for 54th.
Chaslyn Chrismer finished with a 15 over-par and tied for 66th while shooting 234 on the weekend.
The Mean Green’s next tournament is the Price's Give 'Em Five Intercollegiate in Las Cruces, N.M. on October 10-12.
