North Texas' Lancaster Leads Entering Final Round of Play

LINCOLN, NE. (9/19/04) - North Texas’ Andra Lancaster is in the lead after two rounds of play at the Chip-N-Club Invitational held at the Wilderness Ridge Golf Course in Lincoln, NE.


Anchored by Lancaster’s two over par 146, the Mean Green is in third place following the first day of competition at the 5,933 yard course.


Lancaster shot a 74 in the early round, and then posted a tournament low 72 in the afternoon.


Jaclyn Golden’s 163 is tied for 15th place with rounds of 83-80. Tara Lambright is also tied for 15th after shooting 82-81.


Lauren Cheves shot a 168 and is tied for 23rd with rounds of 77-91, and Paige Padgett is tied for 35th with a 178 after rounds of 90-88.


The Mean Green returns to action tomorrow for the final round of competition at the tournament.


Teams from the University of Nebraska are in first and second place entering the final day.
