Sept. 12, 2016

LUBBOCK, Texas - The North Texas women's golf team opened the 2016-17 season on Monday at the Red Raider Invitational at The Rawls Course in Lubbock by playing 36 holes. After day one, the Mean Green sit in 15th place (+50), and were paced by sophomore transfer Sol Lee, who is tied for 25th place at +7, and junior Nyca Khaw, who is tied for 38th at +9.

The Mean Green were +29 during round one and showed marked improvement in round two Monday, combining to shoot eight strokes better. Lee shot a 76 in round one, improving with a 75 later on in the day. She birdied five holes, three of which came in round two and birdied on 12 twice.
