DENTON, Texas - The 2010 Worldlink North Texas Fall Classic will be held September 13-14 at the Golf Club at Champions Circle. The kickoff to the fall season for North Texas features 13 teams playing on the par 72 course, which will play at a length of 6,102 yards for the tournament.
The tournament begins on Monday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. as the first two rounds will be played on Sept. 13. The final round begins on Tuesday at 8 a.m.
The Mean Green heads into the season full of optimism coming off a season in which they won the first tournament championship since 2006.
Coach Jeff Mitchell must find a way to replace three stalwarts in Janna Golden, Maggie Noel, and Jordan Rose who have all graduated.
This year's team is full of youth, but not lacking experience. Junior's Addison Long and Kelsey Kipp both played in 18 combined tournaments last season. Kipp had the second lowest stroke average on the team and Long the third lowest.
The Mean Green has returning from last year Chandra Alexander, Samantha Humphrey, and Brooke Bailey along with three incoming freshman.
