DENTON (8/16/05)- The National Golf Coaches Association Division I All-American Scholar Teams was announced and North Texas sophomore Halli Richards was named to the team. Richards joined a total of 205 women’s collegiate golfers being recognized with this prestigious honor.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent of all college athletics.
The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
Richards, entering her sophomore season with North Texas, had two top 10 finishes last year including a third place finish in her first collegiate tournament.
