DENTON, Texas- Senior Jordan Rose and sophomore Kelsey Kipp piled up the accolades on the golf course this season and now they have been recognized for their work in the classroom. Rose and Kipp were honored by the National Golf Coaches Association and named to the 2009-10 All-American Scholar Team.
For Rose, who finished up her career at North Texas in April on the course, it marks the fourth-straight year that she will have been named to the All-American Scholar team. It is the second straight year for Kipp to be named to the team.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent of all college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
