Sol Lee Named Third Team All-Conference USA

April 26, 2017

IRVING - Sophomore Sol Lee earned Conference USA women's golf third team honors, the league office announced Wednesday.

"I am very happy and proud that Sol Lee was named to the CUSA All-Conference team today," head coach Michael Akers said. "Sol's scoring average this year goes down as the fourth best in school history. She is a very hard worker and a true golfer. Sol was a major factor in the huge improvement our team made from last year. I am excited she will be with us for two more years and Sol will be part of history here at North Texas."

Lee finished the season with a scoring average of 74.82 per round over eight tournaments played in her first season with the Mean Green, following her transfer from New Mexico. That scoring average led the team for any player who played more than three events in the 2016-17 season. Lee's success went hand-in-hand with the Mean Green's strong turnaround as a program under first-year head coach Michael Akers.
