The Mean Green will compete against defending team champion Middle Tennessee, FIU, Florida Atlantic, Marshall, Old Dominion, Southern Miss, UAB, UTEP, UTSA and Western Kentucky.
North Texas' lineup comprised of freshman Elena Kim, junior Nyca Khaw, freshman Lauren Cox, junior Kalli Jennings and sophomore Sammy Huang will open the three-day event on Monday, April 17, carrying through Wednesday, April 19. The 54-hole event will open with the first of three rounds Monday, continuing with the second round Tuesday and concluding Wednesday with the third and final round.
Head coach Michael Akers has placed an emphasis on the number 300 this season for North Texas; setting that as the target to shoot under to have successful rounds. The Mean Green have shot sub-300 on six occasions this year, and hit 300 exactly once more, compared to no sub-300 performances in 2015-16.
