Mean Green Tied For Third, Lambright And Rose In The Top 10

ORLANDO, Fla. (4/16/07) Nothing came easy to the players on the Eagle Pines Golf Course but the North Texas women’s golf team fought through the conditions to finish in a tie for third place after the first day of the 2007 Sun Belt Conference Golf Championship.

Two players, senior Tara Lambright and freshman Jordan Rose, are tied for 10th place following the opening round of play.

The Disney Eagle Pines course was treacherous on this day as none of the 55 players broke par.

North Texas is tied with South Alabama for third place following a 311, 13 shots behind the clubhouse leader Denver Pioneers.

Lambright and Rose shot 5-over par 77 in the first round of play. They are five shots off the lead heading into the second round.
