WACO, Texas - The North Texas women's golf team finished in ninth place at the Baylor Spring Invitational in the final tune-up before next week's Sun Belt Conference Championship. Sophomore's Kelsey Kipp and Addison Long led the way for the Mean Green has the both posted top 30 finishes.
North Texas shot a final round of 327 and had a three-round score of 956 against the field of 16 teams. Baylor won the overall team championship.
Kipp had a 23rd place finish with a final round of 78. Kipp shot a three-round score of 235. Meanwhile Long had a third round of 81 to finish in a tie for 30th place with score of 237. Maggie Noel shot a third round of 84 and shot a 242 for the tournament.
Senior's Janna Golden and Jordan Rose shot final rounds of 86 and 84.
North Texas now prepares for the Sun Belt Conference Championship which begins next week in Muscle Shoals, Ala.
