DALLAS, Texas – In the final tournament before the Sun Belt Conference Championship, the North Texas women’s golf team finished in 12th place at the SMU Dallas Athletic Club Invitational. Battling a gusty wind, which kept all of the scores above 300 except two, the women shot a third-round of 326.
Taylor Kilponen had the best day for North Texas with a final round of 6-over par 78 to finish in a tie for 49th place. Kilponen had three birdies on the day. Georgina Mundy had the best overall score for the Mean Green for the second straight tournament.
Mundy shot a final round of 11-over par but finished in a tie for 42nd place. Chaslyn Chrismer shot a final round of 83 and finished in a tie for 52nd place. McKenzie Ralston inched up into a tie for 56th place after a third round of 82 while Brooke Bailey posted a third round of 86.
No. 19 Oklahoma State captured the tournament with a score of 32-over par. North Texas now gears up for the conference championship which takes place April 15-17 in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
