HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (3/25/08) It was a treacherous day for everyone as the North Texas women’s golf team closed out play in the final round of the UALR Women’s Golf Classic.
Battling 30 mile an hour winds for most of the day, the Mean Green finished tied for 15th place in the field of 21. Of the 100 players that started the day, only 18 finished with scores lower than 80.
Halli Richards had the best tournament score for the Mean Green after a final round of 81. She posted a three-round score of 236 to finish tied for 32nd. Jordan Rose also shot a final round of 81 to card a three-round score of 242.
Maggie Noel shot a final round of 84 while freshman Kirsten Spittler shot an 83. Sophomore Janna Golden had to withdraw from the final round.
The Mean Green is back in action on April 6-7 at the Susie Berning Maxwell Classic.
