Long And Kipp Lead North Texas At BYU

ST. GEORGE, Utah - Sophomore's Kelsey Kipp and Addison Long powered the North Texas women's golf team to a seventh place finish at the BYU Dixie Classic. The pair posted their best rounds of the tournament as North Texas climbed the leaderboard and climbed past Oregon State and finished ahead of 25th ranked Oklahoma State.

The Mean Green as a team fired a final round of 315 and was 19 shots better than the 25th ranked team in the land.

Kipp had two birdies in her final round en route to a 4-over par 76. Long was one shot back with a 5-over par 77 and had two birdies of her own in the final round.

Jordan Rose had the best finish of the tournament for North Texas with a 14th place finish after a three-round score of 230. Kipp nudged her way into the top 20 with a three-round score of 232 to finish in 19th while Long had a score of 238.

Janna Golden and Chandra Alexander shot final rounds of 84 and 82.

North Texas returns to action on April 12-13 at the Baylor Spring Classic.
