TUCSON, Ariz. - It was another stellar day for sophomore McKenzie Ralston has she shot her second 1-under par round of 71 for the North Texas women's golf team at the Mountain View Collegiate. Ralston had the 12th lowest round of the day and vaulted herself into a tie for 29th place for the tournament.
She finished at 6-over par 222, and despite a second round of 80 sandwiched in between her two 71's, it was the lowest score of the season for Ralston.
The Mean Green as a team climbed a spot in the final round into a tie for ninth place after shooting a final round of 302.
Georgina Mundy and Brooke Bailey, who both struggled in the opening day, rebounded with rounds of 75 and 76. The two posted scores of 235 and finished in a tie for 63rd.
Chaslyn Chrismer and Taylor Kilponen had final round scores of 80. Chrismer ended in a tie for 47th place with a score of 229 and Kilponen shot a 232 and finished tied for 56th place. Texas Tech captured the team title by one stroke over San Jose State.
