HONOLULU, Hawaii - Sophomore Kelsey Kipp led North Texas on the islands of Hawaii in the opening rounds of the Dr. Donnis Invitational. The Mean Green, playing in Hawaii for the first time, is alone in 11th place after the first two rounds.
Kipp had the best score of the day for North Texas with a 2-over par 74 in the second round and is tied for 14th place with a 154 after 36 holes. Kipp is only three shots out of the top 10 entering the final round.
Chandra Alexander is three shots behind Kipp after rounds of 78 and 79 to post a score of 157. Janna Golden fired a 160 while Addison Long and Jordan Rose both struggled in the first day. Long shot a 165 while Rose a 167.
