"It was a tough day on the course today," North Texas head coach Jeff Mitchell said. "Addison and Kelsey put together pretty good rounds, though. I think the difference in the wind coming out of the north during the practice round and strong out of the south for the first round kept us out of rhythm most of the day. We are still in the tournament with 36 to play. Jordan, Janna and Maggie have all been playing well this year and I feel confident that they will get it going."

The second round of the event is Monday with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. while the final round will be Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
