Women's Golf Finishes 7th at UNLV

BOULDER CITY, Nevada- The North Texas Women's golf team finished out the final round of the UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational Tuesday. The girls completed the tournament in seventh place after starting the day in eighth. They shot a final round 313 25 over-par to finish the tournament 70 over.

Freshman McKenzie Ralston had another good round shooting four over-par 76 and finishing out tied for 14th place at nine over-par combined. Ralston only managed to sink two birdie to go along with six bogeys in round three, but her performance Tuesday and Monday make her the top golfer for the tournament for the Mean Green.

Three other golfers for North Texas shot a final round 79 seven over-par in Addison Long, Kelsey Kipp, and Chaslyn Chrismer. Jacey Chun and Chrismer both finished tied for 31st after totaling 19 over-par. Chun had a final round 81 after a triple bogey on hole 17. 

Kipp rebounded in round three going seven over-par after a combined 24 over in rounds one and two. Kipp did not birdie in round three but played much better, moving her up eight places to finish tied for 50th. 

Addison Long finished tied for 44th which is her lowest finish this season shooting 25 over-par.

No. 17 Arizona won the tournament at eight over right in front of host UNLV who finished at 27 over-par. 

The girls next tournament takes place on March 13th in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational.
