Women's Golf Starts The Spring In Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. - The 2012 spring season begins Sunday for the North Texas women's golf team as they play in the Arizona Wildcat Invitational. The Mean Green begins the spring season ranked at No. 56 in the nation and is the second highest ranked team in the Sun Belt Conference.

The Mean Green had three top-five finishes in the fall season led by senior Jacey Chun. She notched three top-15 finishes in the fall and begins the spring season ranked No. 65 in the nation individually.

Chun finished fourth, fifth, and 13th in three tournaments in the fall and had the lowest stroke average at just over 73.

Senior Addison Long and freshman McKenzie Ralston are also coming off of solid fall seasons heading into 2012. Long had two top-10 finishes while Ralston had a top-10 finish and a top-20 finish. This will be the first of five regular season tournaments before the Sun Belt Conference tournament and the NCAA Championship.
