Kwon Notches Another Top-20 Finish For NT
Mean Green Finish In 13th To End Fall Season
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Junior Eji Kwon finished the fall season strong for the North Texas women’s golf team as she finished in the top-20 at the 38th FIU Pat Bradley Invitational. Kwon finished at 2-over par 74 on the day to move into a tie for 17th place for the tournament.
It is the second top-20 finish of the fall season for Kwon and the ninth of her career. Nyca Khaw, likewise finished strong with a 2-over par 74. She bounced back from an opening round of 83 to post the 74, which is the lowest round of the fall season for Khaw.
She moved her way up into a tie for 53rd. Kalli Jennings finished tied with Khaw in 53rd place after shooting a third-round of 4-over par 76. Abbi Shaddix carded a 7-over par 79 and finished tied for 66th while Samantha Huang finished in 76th place after a final round score of 87.
North Texas as a team moved up a spot to finish in 13th place with a final round score of 303, their best of the event.
The spring season for the Mean Green begins February 14-15 at the Texas State Spring Challenge.
