Kwon Paces North Texas In Las Vegas After Two-Rounds
Mean Green Remain In 18th Place After 36 Holes
LAS VEGAS – Sophomore Eji Kwon bounced back to post the low-round of the day to lead the North Texas women’s golf team at the Las Vegas Intercollegiate.
Kwon, who yesterday shot an 11-over par 83, bounced back in her second round to shoot an even-par 72. Kwon had four birdies on the day and sits in a tie for 71st place. Maraea Durie was at 7-over par on the day and is one shot behind Kwon with a 156 for the tournament. Abbi Shaddix is tied with Durie at 156 after firing a round of 9-over par on the day.
North Texas as a team shaved six strokes off their first round score in the second round with a score of 312. The Mean Green has a score 630 after 36 holes and remained in 18th place. San Diego State remains the clubhouse leader after two rounds and takes a seven shot lead into the final round.
