Kwon Keeps The Hot Play Going In Florida
Mean Green Tied For 10th Place After First Round
FORT MYERS, Fla – Junior Eji Kwon continued to go low, this time she shot an even-par 72 in the opening round of the 38th Annual Pat Bradley Classic to lead the North Texas women’s golf team. Kwon is tied for sixth place after 18 holes, just three shots off the lead.
It was a gutty round for Kwon, who started the day with a double bogey and found herself 3-over par after the first five holes. Kwon persevered and shot a 3-under par on the final 13 holes, and was 2-under par on the final nine holes.
Abbi Shaddix is tied for 33rd place after firing a 5-over par 77. Freshman Kalli Jennings and Samantha Huang each posted a 9-over par 81 to leave them tied for 62nd place, while Nyca Khaw was 13-over par 85.
North Texas as a team is tied for 10th place after shooting a first-round of 311. James Madison holds a two-stroke lead on the field of 14 teams.
