Ralston's Hot Start To The Year Continues
Mean Green Close Out In Ninth Place In New Mexico

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The red hot start to the season continued for junior McKenzie Ralston as she notched her second top-five finish of the season at the Price’s Give Em Five Intercollegiate. Ralston carded a 1-under par 215 for the tournament for a fourth place finish, which is her third straight top-20 finish of the season.
The Mean Green as a team shot a final round of 298 and finished in ninth place. Ralston fired a final round of 1-over par 73, which included four birdies, but it was also sandwiched by back-to-back double bogeys.
Freshman Eji Kwon continued to shine as she posted a 1-over par 73 and notched her first top-20 collegiate finish. Kwon put up four birdies in the third round and was 6-over for the tournament, tied for 17th place.
Chaslyn Chrismer and Laura DeLeonardis ended in a tie for 59th place with scores of 234. Chrismer shot a final round of 80 while DeLeonardis had her best score of the event with a 4-over par 76 and an eagle on the par-5 16th hole. Taylor Kilponen had her best round as well at 76 in the third round to finish in a tie for 62nd.
Portland State captured the overall team title. North Texas has one final fall tournament, October 20-22 at the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational.
