Mean Green Slip To 11th Place In The Final Round
LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The North Texas women's golf team faltered a bit in the final round of the Price's Give Em' Five Intercollegiate to slip to 11th place. The Mean Green posted a final round of 304 and shot a score of 897 for the event.
Maraea Durie led the way for the Mean Green throughout all three-rounds. She notched her first top-15 finish with NT as she finished tied for 15th place. She had a final round of 2-over par 74 and had a stretch of three birdies in four holes.
Freshman Nyca Khaw ended in a tie for 34th place after carding a 3-over par 75. Khaw had three final round birdies on the day.
Laura DeLeonardis finished tied for 49th place after shooting a score of 5-over par 77. Sophomore Eji Kwon had a rough afternoon with a third-round of 83 as she fell into a tie for 61st place. Freshman Abbi Shaddix was en route to her best round of the tourney until a final hole quadruple bogey put her at 6-over for the day.
Idaho ran away with the overall team championship to win by 10 strokes. The Mean Green is back in action on October 26-28 at the Las Vegas Collegiate.
