Ralson Fires Third Best Score In School History
Junior Shoots A 69 In New Mexico

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Junior McKenzie Ralston fired the third lowest round in school history and her career best to vault her way up the leaderboard for North Texas at the second day of the Price’s Give Em Five Intercollegiate.
Ralston shot a 3-under par 69, which ties Randi Gauthier for the third best round in school history, and climbed into a tie for second place after 36 holes of play. Ralston enters the final round just one stroke off the lead.
Ralston is 2-under par at 142 and one shot behind A Ram Choi of Portland State who leads with a 141. The second round for Ralston was nearly flawless, after the only blemish of the round came on the first hole. Following an opening-hole bogey, Ralston posted four birdies and played 4-under par to shoot her first sub-70 round in college.
Freshman Eji Kwon is just outside the top-25 in a tie for 26th after firing a second round of 2-over 74. Kwon had three birdies on the day but two double bogeys. Chaslyn Chrismer moved into a tie for 47th place with a second round of 75. Chrismer bounced back to shoot a 3-under on the front nine after posting a 6-over on the back nine.
North Texas as a team fired a season low score of 295 and climbed to 10th place. UC Irvine maintains the clubhouse lead after two rounds.
