Khaw And Shaddix Led The Mean Green In Memphis

MEMPHIS – Paced by sophomore’s Abbi Shaddix and Nyca Khaw the North Texas women’s golf team posted its best score of the tournament on the final day of the Memphis Women’s Intercollegiate.

Khaw shot a 4-over par 75, her best score of the event while Shaddix shot a 5-over par 76 in the third-round. The pair finished tied for 46th place overall with a three-round score of 236.

Freshman Kalli Jennings shot a third-round of 77 and was one shot behind her teammates with a score of 237 for the tournament. Eji Kwon finished alone in 65th place after a final round of 80 while Ali Christian was 11-over par on the day.

North Texas as a team shot a score of 308, 11 strokes better than the first day and finished in 14th place. Memphis, the host school, ran away from the field to win by 33 shots over the nearest competition.

The Mean Green is back in action on September 28-29 at the Bob Hurley ORU Invitational.
