Mean Green Start The Season In Memphis

MEMPHIS – A youthful pair led the North Texas women’s golf team in the season opener at the Memphis Intercollegiate after 36 holes of play. True freshman Kalli Jennings and sophomore Abbi Shaddix.

The duo lead the Mean Green after two rounds of play as they are each tied for 49th place. Jennings, playing in her first collegiate tournament, shot a 5-over par 76 in the opening round but fell back in the second round with an 84. Jennings had three birdies on the day. Shaddix posted two-rounds of 80 on the day.

Nyca Khaw is tied for 57th place, one stroke behind Jennings and Shaddix at 161 for the tournament. She posted rounds of 83 and 78 on the day. Eji Kwon struggled on the day with a score of 162 while Ali Christian shot a score of 171 after 36 holes.

North Texas as a team is tied for 13th place after shooting rounds of 322 and 321. The final round concludes Tuesday and live scoring can be found at
