Kwon Posts Second Career Top-10 Finish In Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn.  – Sophomore Eji Kwon notched her second career top-10 finish to begin the season at the FedEx Memphis Intercollegiate for the NT women’s golf team. Kwon finished tied for eighth place after shooting a tournament score of 5-over par 218.

Kwon had a final round score of 3-over par 74. After a stellar freshman season, Kwon now has her fifth career top-25 finish.

Freshman Devin Edwards narrowly missed out on a top-25 finish after a third-round of 80. Edwards ended in a tie for 27th place. Maraea Durie was only one-stroke behind Edwards after a final round of 78. Durie finished tied for 31st place.

Laura DeLeonardis had a third-round of 81 and Nyca Khaw shot a final round score of 80. DeLeonardis finished tied for 58th place and Khaw in 64th place.

North Texas as a team slipped to eighth place after posting a third-round score of 312. Middle Tennessee captured the team title, winning by eight strokes over the host Memphis.

NT is back in action October 6-8 at the Price’s Give Em’ Five Intercollegiate.
