Mean Green Sit In 11th Place After Round Two At C-USA Championship

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The North Texas women’s golf team finished in 11th place after round two at the Conference USA championship Tuesday afternoon at the Verandah Club.
The Mean Green had a tough second round shooting 14 strokes worse with a team score of 326 after a round one 312. North Texas is only seven strokes from eighth place heading into the final round Wednesday morning. MTSU is currently leading the tournament at 16 over par (296-296).
Freshman Samantha Huang had the best round of the day with a four-over par 76 to sit in a tie for 28th place after two rounds (80-76). Sophomore Nyca Khaw finished with a second round 80 to sit in a tie for 28th place.
Junior Eji Kwon struggled in round two shooting an 88 after a first round 75 and is tied for 44th after 36 holes. Sophomore Devin Edwards shot a second round 84 and is tied for 49th after two rounds.
Freshman Kalli Jennings is in 52nd place after a second round 86, five strokes more than her first round score of 81.
