Kwon in 17th Place At SMU/DAC Invitational
Mean Green In 16th Place After Two Rounds
DALLAS -- Facing the best field of the season, the North Texas women's golf team is off to a sluggish start after the first two rounds of the SMU/DAC Invitational. The field features eight teams ranked in the top-50 in the nation, but North Texas is in 16th place after shooting rounds of 326 and 310.
Sophomore Eji Kwon turned in the best day for the Mean Green and she is tied for 17th place. Kwon fired scores of 77 and 72. She was had a steady even-par second round with three birdies and 12 pars in the round.
Maraea Durie shot consecutive rounds of 78 on the day and is tied for 47th. Abbi Shaddix and Nyca Khaw are both tied for 77th place. Khaw had rounds of 83 and 84 while Shaddix bounced back from an opening round of 91 to shoot a second round of 76. Laura DeLeonardis is in 83rd place after shooting scores o 88 and 84.
No. 14 Oklahoma State has a seven stroke lead heading into the final round tomorrow.
