DALLAS , Texas – It was a crisp and cold day that the North Texas women’s golf team fought through as they remained in 16th place after 36 holes at the SMU/Dallas Athletic Club Invitational. The Mean Green duplicated their opening round score of 321 in the second round and was unable to move up the leaderboard, staying in 16th place after two rounds of play.
Eji Kwon posted the lowest score of the day for North Texas and the best score of the event with a 6-over par 78. Kwon had an up and down afternoon but she posted four birdies during her round and is tied for 54th place.
Chaslyn Chrismer and Laura DeLeonardis are tied for 64th place after two rounds at 161. Chrismer had a second round of 82 while DeLeonardis has the second best round for NT at 79. Taylor Kilponen is one stroke behind at 162 after shooting a second round of 82. Brooke Bailey cut seven shots off of her opening score to post a round of 83.
No. 48 Baylor remains out in front as they hold a four-stroke lead heading into the final round. The final round begins tomorrow morning and live scoring can be found at www.golfstat.com.
