Shaddix Shines In Arizona In The Final Round
Mean Green Can't Climb In The Last Day, Finish In 18th Place
TUCSON, Ariz. - It was freshman Abbi Shaddix, who had her career-low round the previous day, duplicated that feat once again in another stellar performance to lead the North Texas women's golf team wrapped up play at the MountainView Collegiate.
Shaddix equaled her 1-over par 73 from the previous day in the final round. Shaddix played steady golf on the day with two birdies, only three bogeys and 13 pars. She finished the tournament tied for 66th place.
Maraea Durie, who shot a second-round of 68, was 7-over par on the third-round and fell back into a tie for 31st place. Eji Kwon never found her rhythm as she was 6-over on the day and finished tied for 84th in the tournament. Devin Edwards was 4-over for the day and Laura DeLeonardis was 7-over for the day.
North Texas as a team shot a final round of 306 and finished alone in 18th place.
