Tough Conditions Greet NT On The First Day In Utah
Kilponen Leads The Way For NT After Two Rounds
March 17, 2014
ST GEORGE, Utah – A difficult course and blustery conditions kept the scores high for the North Texas women’s golf team and the entire field after the first day of the BYU at Entrada Classic. The Mean Green is in 12th place after the first two rounds of play with a score of 652.
High winds kept the entire field over-par on the day. Not one player in the field of 84 managed to break par after two rounds of play.
Taylor Kilponen leads the way for NT as she is tied for 30th after two rounds of play with a score of 161. Kilponen fought her way through the wind to post the lowest score of the day for the Mean Green.

Laura DeLeonardis and Eji Kwon are both tied for 42nd place, one stroke behind Chrismer with scores of 164. Kwon, Chrismer and Kilponen each shot an opening round score of 79.
