Slow Start To The Spring Season For North Texas
Mean Green In 14th Place After Two Rounds Of Play
NEW BRAUNFELS, Tex. – It was a sluggish start to the spring season for the North Texas women’s golf team as they find themselves in 14th place after 36 holes of play at the All There August Challenge. The Mean Green shot rounds of 321 and 312 and are ahead of just one team after the first day.
Junior Eji Kwon had the best two rounds of the day for North Texas, firing a 79 and a 77 as she is tied for 48th place after 36 holes. Nyca Khaw is three strokes back with a two-round score of 159. Khaw shot scores of 81 and 78 on the day.
Ali Christian opened strong with a 6-over par 77 that included three birdies, but fell off the pace in the second round with an 83. She is tied for 60th place.
Middle Tennessee leads the field heading into the final round on Monday at 10-over par. North Texas is four shots behind UT-Rio Grande Valley and eight strokes behind ULM.
