DALLAS, Texas - The North Texas women's basketball team closes out its eight-game road trip with a visit to metroplex rival SMU. North Texas and SMU are squaring off for the 41st time in series history Tuesday night at Moody Coliseum. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and the game can be heard on 88.1 FM KNTU.
North Texas has finally made it back home, almost. The Mean Green is closing out the second longest road trip, eight games, in school history at SMU. North Texas however is in the middle of a stretch that will see them play five games in nine days, three games in four days, and play on back-to-back nights.
North Texas returns home to face Sam Houston State on December 8 and then heads back out onto the road to play at UTPA on December 10.
Jasmine Godbolt has taken her game to another level this season. She has scored in double figures in a career-best eight straight games and against Mississippi State Godbolt notched her 11th career double-double and second of the season. In the last four games Godbolt is averaging 14.5 points a game and 11.2 rebounds a contest.
With Denetra Kellum out with an injury, Kasondra Foreman and Brittney Hudson stepped their games up against Mississippi State. Both notched career-highs as Foreman had 17 points and Hudson scored 18 points. Hudson came off the bench for her points while Foreman played 39 of the 40 minutes against Mississippi State.
