Last Meeting: UTA 59, NT 50 (12/18/12)
With its win last season, UTA took a one-game edge in the overall series. It now leads 21 games to 20. The programs began their rivalry in 1977.

• Fast and Furious and a Freshman
Freshman point guard Candice Adams, who was promoted to a starting role a few games into the season, put together her best performance in Stillwater against the Pokes. She tied a career high with nine points and added two assists and steal with no turnovers despite being matched up with one of the best point guards in the nation in OKST senior Tiffany Bias.

• Spreading the Wealth
NT is much deeper this season than in the past. Five different Mean Green players have led the team in scoring through seven games (Hyder, Tac, Wynn, Dawkins and Adams).

• Searching For That Wynning Edge
Junior transfer Briesha Wynn, despite the back-to-back losses, has been a bright spot for North Texas. She is 24th in C-USA in scoring with 11.7 points per game. A stat-sheet filler, she leads the squad in steals with 11 and is second in assists with 14.

• Poked
In a regional rivalry that began in 1979, NT dropped to 1-12 against Oklahoma State in the all-time series following a lopsided 48-point loss to the Cowgirls. It was the worst loss for NT since a 68-point loss at Middle Tennessee in January of 2010.
