Q and A with Barbara-Scott Kolb

As the North Texas women's basketball team arrives back on campus and begins working now, we are going to catch up with all 15 players before the first official practices under new head coach Karen Aston.  Next up is Barbara-Scott Kolb.

What have you been up to this summer?

Barbara-Scott Kolb: We have been working really hard with the pre-season workouts with Coach Seroka.  We just started individual workouts and this Saturday will be our first real team workout.

What has the coaching staff helped you with so far?

Kolb: They move at a really fast pace so it's helping me learn to pick up things faster. They have been helping me put my game speed at a whole new level.  Just from the little time that I've been here, I've learned a whole lot from the coaches.

What are you looking forward to this year?

Kolb: I'm looking forward to being coached by this staff and Coach Aston.  I think she is a really good coach and has a lot of great experience.  I think she's going to make me into a much better player and person.

What classes are you taking?  Which one is your favorite?

Kolb: I don't know which one is my favorite, but I'm taking Government, Criminal Justice, Communication, Sociology, and College writing.

Describe what you are doing next summer with the Olympics.

Kolb: I got an awesome opportunity to go to London with Lay Witnesses for Christ which is a really good organization. We're going to go over there, try to witness to people, be involved with worship services, bible studies, and experience the whole Olympics.  I'm really excited about it.

Describe Coach Aston in one word.

Kolb: Intimidating
