Adrianna Henderson

Averaged two assists per 10 minutes in conference
The Topeka, Kansas, native showed flashes of excellence early in the season but played sparingly, only logging minutes in eight of the first 20 games. As the season progressed she became more comfortable on the court and her stats increased in conference play. Though only playing seven minutes versus Florida Atlantic, she had four assists. She also had three assists in five minutes at UTEP. Both of those games were victories for the Mean Green.

10 points in the second half versus Iona
Adrianna Henderson's earliest impact this past year came against Iona on Nov. 26 at the Super Pit. Looking for an offensive spark, head coach Jalie Mitchell inserted her crafty and quick guard who ended with a season-high 10 points. Henderson's second half jolt led North Texas to an 11-point win over the Gaels.

Out scoring opponents
When Henderson was on the court, the Mean Green outscored their opponents by nine points, the highest by a North Texas player who played in 20 or more games.

Hannah Hopkins

Season opening start
On Nov. 10 at Little Rock, Humble, Texas, native Hannah Hopkins became the first North Texas true freshman to start a season opener since 2010 when Ash'Lynne Evans started against Stephen F. Austin. Hopkins had two points, two rebounds and two blocks in her start at Little Rock.

Team leader in blocks
Despite missing 10 games from Jan. 21 to Feb. 25 with an injury, Hopkins led the Mean Green with 16 blocks this past season. At the time of her injury, she was on pace to end the year with 33 blocks. The last North Texas women's basketball player to end a season with 33 or more blocks was Vilma Grismanauskaite in 2002-03. She had 53 blocks. 1987 graduate Clara Campbell is the program's all-time leader in blocks with 136.

Three blocks in nine minutes
On Jan. 14 against Rice, Hopkins came close to setting a program-record when she had three blocks in her first nine minutes of playing time. The North Texas record for most blocks in a half is five by Grismanauskaite in 2002-03. Though Hopkins didn't record another block the rest of the first half, her potential as premier shot blocker was on display that night at the Super Pit.

One of the best freshmen in C-USA
Of all the true freshmen in Conference USA, Hopkins finished tied for third for most blocks. She averaged a block every nine minutes when she was on the court.

Jada Poland

17-point comeback
Freshman forward Jada Poland's breakout game came on Feb. 4 at Rice in a 17-point second half come from behind win. Coming off the bench, Poland ignited the comeback with energy and effort that could not be matched by the Owls. In 16 minutes of playing time, most of which came in the second half and overtime period, Poland recorded a then season-high eight rebounds to go along with a season-high eight points.

Double-digit rebounds versus WKU
On March 2 versus Western Kentucky, Poland grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds in 20 minutes of action. She became the sixth different Mean Green player to record 10 or more rebounds in a game last season. She was the second freshman to do so as Madi Townley had done it at Old Dominion on Jan. 28.

In the first 20 games of the season, Poland had a total of six points and nine rebounds, averaging a rebound every seven minutes she was on the court. In the final 11 games, Poland had 21 points and had 45 rebounds, averaging a rebound every 2.5 minutes of playing time. She averaged the third most rebounds per game for North Texas over that time period but grabbed 28 percent of the defensive rebounds, which led the team.

Four steals
On March 4 versus Marshall, Poland recorded four steals. She was the first North Texas freshman to have four steals in a game since Candice Adams in 2013.

Madi Townley

13 rebounds at Old Dominion
On Jan. 28 at Old Dominion, Madi Townley became the first North Texas freshman to record 10 or more rebounds in a game since Alexis Hyder in 2013. Of Townley's 13 rebounds, seven were offensive.

22 rebounds versus Old Dominion
In the two games combined versus Old Dominion, Townley brought down a total of 22 rebounds. It was the most rebounds anyone in conference had against ODU.

Five rebounds per game in conference
Townley became the sixth North Texas freshman in program history to average five or more rebounds per game in conference play.

Eight points at Southern Miss
Before going down with a season ending injury, Townley scored a season-high eight points at Southern Miss on Feb. 25. She also had eight rebounds in the game.
