DENTON, Texas - Head Coach Mike Petersen announced the signing of junior transfer guard Teadra Jones from Pensacola State College on Monday.

The 5'8" guard joins the Mean Green's back court rotation following a strong sophomore campaign for the Pirates that saw the Sunshine State native average 14.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3 assists per game.

"We are delighted she is joining the program," Petersen said. "She is a very good athlete with a very complete offensive and defensive skill set with the ability to score on the bounce, mid-range and shoot the three-pointer. She has had success at a very high level, and she can come in and help us right away."

Coming out of high school in 2012, Jones was named to the 6A All-State Florida team.
