North Texas, which most recently beat the Warhawks of Monroe to snap a two-game skid, enters the match with renewed life in its quest for the elusive SBC West as well as a bye in the conference tournament. Coming off the biggest win of its season at Middle Tennessee, Troy fell at home to FIU, pushing its conference record to 2-13.
North Texas holds an advantage in the overall series, 10-3, and has won the last four meetings between the two including a first round match at the SBC Tournament in Hot Springs last season. Most recently, the Mean Green defeated the Trojans in Denton on January 2 by a 16-point margin.
North Texas broke the school record for 3-pointers in a season set by the 2001-02 team with an early trey against ULM...Hyder posted the seventh double-double of her career at ULM...NT had a season-high seven blocks at ULM and tied its season-high in made 3-pointers with 10...Goodwin moved into first in the SBC in 3-point percentage at 40.7 percent.
