MONROE, La. - After a perfect 2-0 week last week, the North Texas women's basketball team is looking for more as they go for their third straight win on the road at ULM on Thursday night. North Texas beat FIU and Troy last week and senior Denetra Kellum was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week.

Tip-off Thursday night is set for 5:30 p.m. from Fant-Ewing Coliseum.

North Texas tied a school record with 11 3-pointers against Troy in the 72-57 victory. The Mean Green knocked home 50 percent from behind the arc in the game for the most 3-pointers in a game by North Texas since 2007. It was the fourth time in school history that North Texas has made 11 3-pointers and the most during the Shanice Stephens era. The 50 percent shooting from behind the 3-point line ties for the best percentage this season from behind the arc.

The 11 3-pointers were the 12th time in school history that North Texas has hit 10 or more 3-pointers in a game this season, and the second time they have done so this year. It is the first time in school history that North Texas has hit 10 or more 3-pointers in two different games in a single season. Three of the 12 games have come during the Shanice Stephens era.

North Texas had a season-high 14 steals in the win over Troy. The Mean Green also forced Troy into 22 turnovers and made them pay with 28 points scored off of those turnovers. It was the most steals in a game for North Texas in just over a year. It was on January 13, 2010 against Troy that North Texas had 16 steals against the Trojans.

Freshman Laura McCoy has hit at least one 3-pointer in back-to-back games for the second time this season. She has hit 60 percent from behind the arc in the last two games.
