Lee Breaks Tournament And Course Records In California

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (10/27/08) North Texas sophomore Michel Lee had a second round for the ages.  Lee shot a tournament and course record 10-under par 62 in the second round of the Bill Cullum Invitational and is tied for first place heading into the final round.

Lee’s second round of 62 broke the Wood Ranch Golf Club’s old record and he shattered the old tournament record.  Lee posted his record breaking round coming off an opening round of 1-over par 73. Lee is 9-under par for the tournament with a 135.

Senior Nathan Sheen in even-par after two-rounds of play with a 74 in the first round and a second round of 2-under par 70. Clarke Kincaid is 4-over par at 148 after two rounds. Harris Graham shot rounds of 76 and 75 while Ben Hargis posted a 75 and an 81 in the first two rounds.

North Texas as a team is alone in fourth place after posting its best round of the season in the second round. The Mean Green fired a 9-under par 279 and are 17-shots behind Cal-State Northridge heading into the final round of play.
