SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (10/28/08) The North Texas men’s golf team closed out the fall season with its best tournament of the season by finishing fifth at the Bill Cullum Invitational. The Mean Green shot a season-low score of 875 after shooting a final round of 298.
Sophomore Michael Lee had his first top-10 finish of the season with a three-round score of 4-under par 212. Lee carded a final round of 77 to finish in a tie for 8th place. Lee posted a tournament and course record 10-under par 62 in the second round.
Lee’s 62 is the fourth lowest score in the nation this season and the lowest documented score in school history.
Senior’s Clarke Kincaid and Nathan Sheen both shot 4-over par 220 for the tournament. Kincaid had another solid round with an even-par 72 in the final round. Sheen shot a third round of 76.
Harris Graham shot a third round of 74 and had a 225 while freshman Ben Hargis shot a third round of 76 to post a 232 for the tournament.
